Filing Status

TurboTax is not allowing me to file my state (Iowa) tax return using Married Filing Separately with a Federal status of Married Filing Jointly. Iowa allows this option, and I've never had any problems in past years. Is there bug w/the software, or am I missing something?

Filing Status

Yes, there's a new law on the books.  On their Iowa returns, all taxpayers are now required to use the same filing status that they use on their federal returns.

Married taxpayers no longer have the option of filing separately on a combined return.
