Filing status and dependent question for divorced couple

We divorced last year and have two kids. Due to financial reasons, we still live in the same home with the kids. I am the main financial provider and was wondering if I can claim my ex wife as a dependent along with the two kids.

Filing status and dependent question for divorced couple

It depends.  For your children, as long as no one else is claiming them as a dependent and they are age 19 and under, you can claim them as dependents.  Regarding your ex-wife, here are the requirements for claiming an adult dependent on your tax return:
