Have tried for 2 days to efile but tells me I need an update. Have closed turbo tax and a prompt never appears. When will the update be ready?

Have you tried going up to the little icon for TurboTax way up on your top left and clicking it----then click "check for updates?"
If that doesn't work, you can also try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser to see if the prompt appears.
