Hi. I am filing my 2022 return (better late than never) and I am a bit confused by schedule C. I file as married filing separately and all income is from W-2's. I am an actor and I work from home. I was told that I couldn't list itemize deductions any longer (as the rule changed in '18), but when I looked at my '21 Federal return there is a schedule C attached and listed under "Other expenses" there are expenses like: supplies, trains, cabs printing, postage, classes, coaching, etc.
Can I put a schedule C and the expenses into my 2022 Federal return?
Thanks.

No. A schedule C is for self-employed individuals. As a W2 employee you are not entitled to use a schedule C for your expenses, unfortunately. And deductions for expenses for W2 employees were removed by the TCJA in 2017. You should be asking for income as a 1099 contractor if you are spending a significant portion of it on other expenses.
