Filing Federal First bc State isn’t ready

I already paid to file for the federal and state.  Unfortunately, my state form isn’t ready yet.  I tried to select file by mail for the State, but it is all or nothing.  I can’t fix the State return since the form isn’t ready, and it’s not letting me just file federal.  There is no change filing option to wait on filing the state and just filing federal.  So, a $12 state refund is holding up a $2400 federal refund.  I can’t delete my state return since I already paid for it!  Help!
