Filing an additional 1099-NEC?

Hello, I recently submitted Form 1096 and 1099-NECs to the IRS.  I may need to file an additional 1099-NEC.  What is the proper procedure for doing so?  Would I send a new 1096 and all 1099-NECs?  Or just the 1099-NEC that has yet to be filed?  Or something else?

And should the amounts in Box 3 and Box 5 on the new Form 1096 reflect the new 1099-NEC only?

Yes.  Form 1096 should total the amounts for the forms you are including.     Form 1096 instructions
