Filed 2019 tax file online; attempted to download and open in TT Premier 2019 (.tax2019). Each of several downloads claim to be corrupt and will not open. Solution?

What file are you trying to download?  I just download a PDF of the 2019 online tax return and the tax data file (.tax2019) of the 2019 online tax return.  Both are shown in the Download directory on a Windows based personal computer.

The PDF can be opened by any PDF compatible application, such as Adobe Reader.

The tax data file (.tax2019) can only be opened by the 2019 TurboTax software installed on a personal computer.

I downloaded TT premier and it cannot import my last year's return, 2019.  I cannot even get started!

If your tax file is encrypted or password protected, you will get this error when trying to import to TurboTax online. Open the tax file in your desktop program. From the File menu select Password (windows) or Encrypt (MAC). Remove the password/encryption. Re- save your tax file without the password. Now you can upload it into TurboTax online.
