File prior year tax with non-resident alien status.

I went to US in 2014 with F1 visa, and graduated in 2016. During this time, I was teaching assistant and got payroll from my school. I left US in Jan 2017, so I didn't receive my W2 form and other documents, and didn't file tax for 2016 year. I want to know, can I file tax for 2016 year to get tax return by using turbo tax with non-resident alien status? Besides, if I can, where and how can I get these documents, such as W2 and 1040S, to file tax, because I am not in US since I graduate. Thanks a lot!

File prior year tax with non-resident alien status.

If you want to file a 2016 nonresident return, you will need to work with Sprintax as TurboTax does not support nonresident returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

Visit the TurboTax/Sprintax site for more info or to get started.

You will need to contact your school for the documents you need to file your return.
