When the Federal Taxes tab disappears, it will be replaced by the Business and Personal tabs. At that point, you'll click on whichever of those tabs applies to that particular category of income/expenses/deductions.
If you're looking to make entries for your self-employed business, you'll use the Business tab; it's exclusively business related. If you'll be making entries for all other income & deductions, you'll use the Personal tab, to include any job-related expenses for W-2 income.
