No. Federal tax that you paid is not deductible on your 2024 federal return. There are a few states in which you can enter it on your state return.
There are several states that allow you to enter the federal tax you paid on your state return--Alabama, Iowa. Missouri, Montana, and Oregon. If you are filing in one of these states watch for the deduction when you prepare your state return.
It depends. Were the federal taxes that you paid in 2024, estimated tax payments for 2024? If so, you will enter them as estimated taxes paid in the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid area of the Deductions and Credits section.
