Congress and President Biden passed a tax cut for most families with Children as part of the American Rescue Plan. how I can receive an expanded Child Tax Credit! we are expecting a child at the end of this month.

The credit is increased from $2,000 to $3,600 for a child under age 6.

Same credit but different method of receiving it. It is for advance payments before actual filing 2021 tax returns. Those links explain it.
