Hi,
I prepare 6 tax returns for my family:
1) Joint with my wife
2) my 94 year old mother
3) 3 children
4) 1 future daughter in-law.
I have filed 1-4 above and today I went to file my future daughter inlaw's return and it said i exceeded the limit.
I am not a tax professional and I do not charge for these returns.
How can I file one more Federal and New York State Return?
Thanks,
Jerry DelBene

Sorry. The IRS limit is five federal e-files. No way to exceed that limit. Any more than five, and they have to be printed, signed and mailed. You cannot e-file more than five.
As for for the last one being for New York, you still have to mail it. You cannot e-file a state return unless the federal can be e-filed. Here is the address to mail it:

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
