Although the following Help Article is for Schwab, it is possible that your brokerage has restricted TurboTax's access to your statements unless you grant consent, and you might need to do something similar to what is described here How can I fix my 1099 import issue?
Have you had success with this yet? I'm still receiving the same error as you. I'm able to view my trades directly on ETrade with no issues so the problem must be with Intuit. I spent $100 for the sole purpose of being able to import the amount of trades that I have (about 1800)

i can't connect with both one with 1100 too, i have download version of turbotax premier !!
I tried both online / download version, it fails at both places
I tried talking to 'live expert' few times, it dint turn out other than complete waste of my time more than hour each time !!
On top of that, they say this import issue is resolved !!!!!!!!! clearly not !!

You can also enter an overall total for long term and short term sales. Long term would be listed as one line item and short term would be listed as another line item.

I am having the same issue importing my ETrade 1099 data as several other TT clients. I have just under 2000 transactions, so size does not appear to be the problem. There was another post to the TT Community on this issue and a number of ETrade clients are experiencing the same problem.
Please contact ETrade and report the problem. The more of us that do so, the more likely they will work to fix it.
