Estimated Taxes

I have projected the amount of estimated taxes I will owe for 2022. Is there a way to enter the total estimated tax due for the year and have TurboTax prepare estimated tax vouchers? It looks like I would have to provide certain income and deduction amounts expected for 2022 in order for TurboTax to calculate the estimated taxes (I am not using the safe harbor). But I don't need to go through that.

Yes you can do all of that in the Desktop program.  You can enter the amounts you want to pay or even just print them with your name, address, ssn but without amounts.  You can switch to Forms mode to adjust them.

In the Online version you don't get as many options to prepare the estimates.  Go to….

Federal Taxes or Personal (Desktop H&B)

    Other Tax Situations

    Other Tax Forms

Form W-4 and Estimated Taxes - Click the Start or Update button

The simplest thing to do would be to download Form 1040-ES from the IRS web site and fill out the vouchers yourself. All you have to fill in is your name, address, Social Security number, and the amount you are paying. Since you have already missed the first payment, divide the total that you have projected by 3 to get the amount for each of the remaining vouchers. The vouchers are at the end of the PDF from the IRS. You can ignore all the rest of the IRS form.

Thank you VolvoGirl and rjs for your responses. I do know how to print and prepare estimated tax vouchers. I just wondered if there was a way for TurboTax to generate them from my providing the total estimated tax for 2022. Or, if there's a way to just enter the payment amount on each voucher in TurboTax - that would be useful. These would at least already have my name, SSN and address, so I wouldn't have to write it in on a blank voucher. I guess it can't be done.

By the way, I did not miss the first quarter estimated tax payment - the amount of the overpayment from my  2021 return (currently on extension) will be enough to cover the first quarter required payment.
