Why can't I change the amount indicated on the vouchers? The worksheet does calculations based on current return information. I make payments based on my calculations and should be able to put my desired payment on the voucher rather than from your worksheet. Request you change your program to allow me to enter any amount I desired rather than what the worksheet indicates. Thank you

At no time do you have to use the number pre printed on the return ... you can cross it off and write in anything you want or get the blank forms from the IRS.
Wrong answer. I do not want to go to the IRS and get a blank form nor do I want to print a blank form from turbo. I should be able to change the amount I want on the voucher by indicating I wish to change the value. I know you cannot make the change with the current program. I am already crossing out the typed value and putting in the value I want by hand. Recommending and requesting a change to the form for next year.
You can print them with the amount you want in the Desktop program. I used to. But now I use the preprinted forms the IRS sends me each year and write the amount on it. Then they fit in the envelopes the IRS sends with them. Much easier. Or you can just pay the IRS directly online. No forms involved.
You can buy a program like Adobe that lets you edit a pdf. Or you can print out the vouchers and write the number on them. TurboTax printed vouchers are pretty much an antique. People use the internet or order the vouchers from the IRS now. Not used enough to make it worthwhile to user programmer's time to change them.
