Get the error that the 'at risk box' should not be checked, as income exceeds deductions. Not sure how it got checked, not sure how to 'uncheck' it.
Won't let me under 'forms' for Schedule C worksheet. Went into Turbotax, I say 'no' for at risk carryovers, can't find the spot won't let me change worksheet 'red x' manually.
Help! Just want to finally file now.
Thanks,
Adam

Found spot that says, 'you indicated some of your investment is not at risk' and wants clarification. I'm a psychologist, nothing is at risk so what does it mean? been filing for 15 years with TT, never had this issue. Should I be stating all is 'at risk' instead?
That looks like a bug. I have the same problem. As of 3/1/24, the bug has not been fixed to allow the user to fix the info in the box.
You are commenting on a post from last year. You can edit the At-Risk box in TurboTax. Let us know if you are working on your Schedule C in the desktop or online version of TurboTax. @Fralea113
I'm using the desktop Deluxe version. TurboTax has found 1 error in my California return and that is that "at risk" box. It gives me the box with a check mark above a panel that shows the highlighted red box in the Schedule C with an "x" in it. I cannot edit either boxes.
Go back to your Schedule C in the Federal section and answer all of the questions that appear, including any follow-up questions. You need to have established that you are "at risk" in order to claim a loss from operating a business. See this TurboTax help article for more information.
You might wish to consider upgrading to Home and Business if you have a Schedule C. See here for details.
