Error Code 603 Turbo Tax 2020 & 2019

I upgraded my laptop and reinstalled Turbo Tax 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022.  Turbo Tax 2019 and 2020 give me error code 603 even though they have only been installed on my old laptop.  Those years on my old laptop I would also get error code 603 but it would eventually activate again.  Today on my new laptop I spent over 30 minutes with support and still did not get the error resolved.  They insist it has been installed over 5 times and it has not.  I am a long-time user of Turbo Tax and am extremely frustrated that it could not be resolved.

Anybody else experienced this?

If you are receiving error 603, normally it is due to the issue listed in the TurboTax FAQ below:

Error code 603: All the available activations for that code has been used

If you have not reached your max activation usage, you can attempt to download your software directly from TurboTax. However, if this does not resolve your issue, please click the link to contact TurboTax customer support.

    1. Go to InstallTurboTax.com.
    2. Set up a TurboTax account if you don't already have one. If you do, sign in. (If you don’t remember your credentials, you can walk through our Account Recovery page to see if you already have an account.)
    3. Enter your license code in the pop up window.
    4. It’s a 16-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that can be found on your CD box insert, envelope, or packing slip. (Note: The 2019 product has a 14-character code that looks like this: XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)
    5. Select your operating system, and select Get Download.
    6. Download your software and install.
    7. When you get to the Your product is installed, now let's activate it screen, enter your license code in the License code box, and select Continue to complete installation.

If you still need additional assistance, please reply back to this thread and we will be happy to look into this further for you.

I followed the process and I can now access 2019, but I get the same message with 2020.

It has been an issue in the past that this message would appear. Has it had you enter the license code on each uninstall/reinstall? If so, this can cause the issue. It would be best to give us a call, so we can possibly reset the account to allow an additional login. @ewhite23161
