Error 190

I have always used the desktop version in previous years. This year I thought that I would try the online version. I didn't know that it is only for filing one return. I need to do three (me and two sons). Last year I needed to use two state programs, this year only one.

When I found out about doing multiple returns I switched back to desktop. Now when I try to open an unfinished return I get the ERROR 190. I went and downloaded the one state return that I need but still get the error. I don't want to download and pay for a second state return that I don't need. How do I get around this?
