Error 190 and no state

Hi everyone.  I purchased turbo tax deluxe with a state return  via digital download on amazon.  I started doing my return and opened the state part  that all worked great.  Then it asked to update then started giving me an error for something and wouldnt update and let me even start the program in windows so i ended up reinstalling turbo tax.  Now i go to open up my original return i started and it gives me an error 190 and is asking me to download the state again but wants me to pay $40 for another state.  Anyone have an solutions??  Very frustrating as iv been a long time turbo tax user and have had nothing but problems this year

So to update.  I originally downloaded the state last night and was working perfectly, but read you still need to buy the state to file ($40) so i did that and when i go to download the state again after this fresh install it says getting state then says your software is up to date and loops back to the main screen for the state returns but does nothing and wont let me go forward.  SO did i just waste another $40 for nothing?  Please can anyone help me?

You didn't need to buy the state.  Something is wrong.  Call support.   And ask for a refund.
