I have four accounts at Fidelity for which I have Form 1099-DIV and Form 1099-B. When I go through the import process, I cannot get all four account Form 10999s to show up in my tax return. If two accounts appear in my tax return with Form 1099, they get overridden when I attempt to import the other two accounts. Is this a glitch in the import process. Is it possible that one must import Form 1099s all at one time, and not piecemeal?
Also, these accounts have paid foreign taxes on dividends. Do I have to create a new Form 1116 for each account? When I attempt to use the same Form 1116 for the four accounts, the foreign taxes owed do not cumulate.
It's also an annoying glitch that when TurboTax accesses a Fidelity account for importing, it does not close out the Fidelity account when finished. Therefore, if you go to a different tax return and attempt to import transactions (Form 1099s), it takes you back to the same Fidelity account where you were before without even letting you to log in.
