Entering a 2021 1040SR PDF into a 2022 turbo tax

i am missing the 2021 turbo tax info on my computer, however I have the 2021 1040SR PDF. I am unable to insert it into the 2022 version because it is a 1040SR. After some research I found that turbo tax does not support the 1040SR as a PDF download, so why do you make us use that version. What is your suggestion, other than redoing my entire 2021 taxes, to put this into the 2022 Turbo Tax. The 1040 & the 1040SR folks paid the same for the disc and should have the same use of the product.

It has nothing to do with the use of Form 1040 or Form 1040SR.   You want to transfer a 2021 return in order to start a new 2022 return.  You need the tax file--not a pdf.

The transfer of 2021 in to 2022 has to be done at the very beginning, before you enter any new 2022 information.
