efiling more than 5 returns

TT and the other tax programs should petition the irs to change the 5 e-file maximum to at least 10. It would eliminate all the community, live questions and yes, confusion about how to efile more than 5, and the irs would gain by having less paper filed returns, isn't that their objective anyway? Whether the tax programs allow 5 or 10 returns to be efiled, has nothing to do with being a professional tax preparer because we're all preparing those taxes free of charge for family members. As tax program purchasers and tax payers, does anyone know how we can encourage the irs to increase efiling to 10 returns, or how we can encourage tt to petition the irs?

Your suggestion is noted.  There is a real reason why the IRS has these limits: to separate professional preparers from home preparation.  Opening up software to more than 5 e-filed returns can lead to non-professionals masquerading as if they were, and even charging for their services.  That is an illegal use of any Home Preparation tax software.  If anyone has a legitimate need for more than 5 e-files, a separate individual within the circle could purchase another version of TurboTax and register it separately.

My suggestion is the IRS updating from 5 to 10 efile returns, i do understand the reason for the limit, just don't see why it can't be updated to 10 for non-professionals.
