Efile rejected due to an error made in 2019...but 16 week processing of amendment means I can't file. What should I do?

In 2019 we needed to report the sale of our home as it relates to the first time homebuyer credit.  Due to the costs, the repayment was actually waived so I owe nothing...but the paperwork to indicate this needs to be filed as an amendment.

The issue is that in my current filing I do not have the credit repayment (because I do not owe it anymore).  However the Efile is rejected because that repayment isn't on there...due to the 2019 error.

So what is the right course here?  Thank you!

alway e-File using the AGI from the first, original 1040  that was ACCEPTED.
