efile fails with validation failed

using 2021 business and home turbotax on windows 10.  when pressing the 'submit returns now' button a popup appears saying that validation failed and to check for and install updates. when checking for updates turbotax says that it is up to date. when I try to manually install update I get a message saying that turbotax is not installed, however it is, and that it needs to be installed prior to update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled turbo tax with no success. This turbotax was purchased and downloaded from gohant.com. Any ideas?

OK.....Success!!! I contacted turbotax and went thru all of the uninstall/install stuff and went back thru all of the steps leading up to the 'submit your taxes' and after the tech saw the message they said to just mail the forms in to the feds and state. Since I had purchased turbotax thru an authorized reseller I reached out to the reseller. Here is there response

"Intuit has released new updates for TurboTax 2021 as of April 14th.
You can download the new updated version from the link below.
Please make sure to uninstall the current version before installing this new version."

I downloaded from the link the reseller provided and installed the latest and greatest and it worked as advertised.

SO AFTER 30 MINUTES ON THE PHONE WITH A LIVE REP.....THEY TRIED WITH ME TO UPDATE THE TT S/W AND COULD NOT.....THEY SAID SINCE I BOUGHT THE S/W FROM GOHANT.COM IT WAS NOT TT PROBLEM AND i HAD BEEN SOLD SOME BOGUS S/W.

THE REP CLAIMED THAT RESELLERS HAD ACCESS TO MODIFY TT SW AND IF I WANTED TO FILE I WOULD HAVE TO BUY THE TT PACKAGE FROM THEM FOR $80 BUCKS....WHAT A PILE OF S#*T...

I WILL NEVER BUY TT S/W AGAIN....
