I bought turboxtax home at business at Staples. My laptop does not have a CD drive, so I want to download the software. The turbtax web site wants me to purchase the software before it takes me to the download page. I already paid for it.
This is either fraud, or a waste of my time. When I follow the instructions inside the case, all I get is the sales page. Stop trying to sell me a product and let me download the product I purchased.

There should be a card in the box saying how to download it. How to install Turbo Tax if you don't have a CD drive

I have Windows. I logged into my account and went to Downloads. I first clicked on Copy Code then on the download. After it downloaded I clicked on the exe file. Got a little worried when it didn't ask to Activate when installing. But when it was done I clicked on Launch Now and the first thing the Activate box popped up and I did Ctrl+V to paste the code and it worked!
Do you get to this page? (when you type in InstallTurboTax.com)

I have this exact card (although obviously with a license code linked to my purchase). I did EXACTLY what it says. Step. By. Step. When I go InstallTurboTax.com and sign in with my ID, it diverts me to the sales page. Every time. Asking to help guide me to which product is best for me. I already decided this when I purchased the version I selected yesterday.
I never get to the enter license code window. Even when I google my way to the download page. Or login with my TurboTax log in. In that case, it says I have no downloads pending. EVERY path (of multiple approaches) I've taken yesterday and today to get to my download, sooner or later take me to the sales page. I don't need help picking a product and paying for it again. I just want access to the product I've already purchased.
Waste of my time.
If the sole goal of every path is to get me to buy more product, then I am disgusted. If it's just a faulty UI then I am annoyed. If I can't get in soon. I'll return the product to Staples. I am soon to the point where I'd rather pay $400 to a tax preparer than $120 to TurboTax.
When you get to that page try creating a new account. Haven't heard of anyone else being directed to a sales page. Are you clicking at the very bottom? I think it says to go Online? You do not want that one.
