If you are 65 or older your return will be on a Form 1040SR. It is exactly the same as the "regular" Form 1040 except the printing is bigger. All of the calculations are done exactly the same way. You are not taxed differently on that form. You have all of the same tax laws.

Since some folks use the word Return when they really mean Refund...let me add that there is a higher Standard Deduction for those ages 65+
