Don't Need NY IT203, yet Turbo tax includes it

I have to do taxes for my mother and another one for myself.  We live in CT.  Mom does not work.  Only has Interest and dividends.  TT always just give CT as her state in past years.  My husband and I live in CT but he works in NY.  So we've always had to file CT as resident state and a NY non-resident form.  This year for some reason, TT insists on filing a NY non-resident (IT203) for my mom even though it's all 0!  I can't seem to remove it.  Should I just ignore it and NOT efile the NY even though TT wants to do it automatically?  It seems to have done it just because I have both states downloaded....

Correct, you will not e-file the NY return for your mom. When you go through the file section at the end, select to mail the NY return. Obviously, you will not mail the return, this just lets you through the program to file the correct state.
