Are you referring to the field called "Occupation"?

You can make any answer you want here, there is no "right" answer. "Unemployed" is perfectly OK - it does not imply that you are getting unemployment from the state.

The values for Occupation are just used for statistical analysis by the IRS.

I entered the tax ID # that was on my unemployment paperwork used that number to file and it is not being accepted. I have not been able to file due to this. HELP?
