No, TurboTax does not automatically add dependents.  It will "roll them over" from last year, if you used TurboTax last year.

To review dependents, or enter/delete a dependent, choose the Personal Info tab at the top of the page and Continue. This will bring up the "Personal Info Summary" page choose the Edit button next to "Dependents."

If this is your first year using TurboTax, the interview will ask for your dependents.  After the first time through, if you missed one or need to correct their information, follow the instructions above.
