If you need to amend your tax return in TurboTax, there is no additional fee. In TurboTax Online, you may need to upgrade, though. If so, you would pay the difference.
Although your bottom line doesn't change, you are correct that it would be prudent to report the QCD rollover.

if there is no change to your tax or dollar amounts, what's the point?

At my age an RMD from an IRA (not Roth IRA) is mandatory so it should be reported to avoid an IRS question.
IRS gets the exact same 1099-R that you did, so they know you took a distribution.
The only way to indicate this is to also enter
“QCD” next to line 4b on Form 1040 to indicate a qualified charitable distribution.
That means you have to include Form 1040 with your amendment which is ordinarily not done.
If you attach Form 1040 to your paper 1040-X, be sure to
enter “Attachment to Form 1040-X—Copy Only—Do Not Process” at the top of the form.
