No. The last day you will be able to e-file using TurboTax will be October 15, 2024. After that you will have to print sign and mail your 2023 return. As far as importing data from a financial institution, the financial institutions take that information down as the tax season winds down, and then you are unable to import anything into tax software.
i.e. as for your #1?
In prior years, some brokerages had started removing their specially-formatted tax software import files as early as July. No telling what Fidelity and Chas Schwab are doing until it's too late.
Sometimes if you call and ask a brokerage agent, they just tell you about the PDF downloads that are in your account (that are usually available for a number of years back), and don't really know about the availability of the specailly-formatted tax import files.
Certainly, if you already have the desktop software installed already, you could start your tax file, and attempt the imports now, so that you have that data in your tax file (if the brokerages still have the files for you), and then complete the rest of your filing before 15 October.
