Do you have to report money earned from car accident settlement?

Generally no, you do not need to report this income on your tax return if it was from a personal injury settlement.

I was awarded a settlement for a personal injury. Some of the money was used to pay my attorney, the hospital and doctor's.
1. Can I deduct these expenses from my taxable income?
2. Do I need to report any of this settlement for any reason?
3. If I need to report any of this settlement will TurboTax 2018 have the forms I will need and which forms are they?
