Do you have any excess Roth Contributions?

Turbo tax is asking me if I contributed more than allowed in 2019 or any previous year, why isnt it calculating this for me? I get it cant calculate previous years but why not for 2019?

It does. If yiu contributed more than you are allowed it will tell you. That comes after the screen you refer to.

Do do I say yes or No for this question if I dont know if I paid too much in 2019?

Answer NO if you do not know. That question is intended for those that already know that they had excess contributions.
