Do I need to pay the $39.99 Turbo Tax Deluxe, I was suggested to pay. I originally started with the Free Edition,why do they want me now to switch?

Please be aware that the Free Edition is free as long as you file a 1040EZ (or 1040A with the standard deduction) and don't select any add-ons or upgrades.

Make it cleared when filing. Being charged once was bad enough.but twice was horrible. I didn't realize I had add ons and upgrades.and only filed a1040A. They took advantage of me.I spent 3 hours on my return. I was asked several times to purchase deluxe addition and declined. They got me to at the end because I was frustrated and tired.little did I know I would actually be charged twice.....never again!!

They did the same to me! I even took off information for one of the "upgrade" documents and they STILL tried to charge me. The only way I removed the charge was to completely start over.
