You can pay online directly from your bank account using Direct Pay on the IRS web site.

for calendar year returns it is too late to file an extension. the extensions and payment were due by 5/17/2021. you may receive a bill from the IRS for late filing and payment penalties + interest. if you do and this is the first time filing and paying late, you may request abatement of the penalties. interest can not be abated.
