No, if you digitally sign your returns, you do not need to print and sign them and send them in. However, sometimes if you use them for something like a mortgage, you will need to have a signed form, but for tax purposes you do not need to sign them.
It is however a very good idea to print your return in case something would happen to your computer or you would for some reason lose access to your online account.
