Did not receive a 1098, so selecting Oth int paid. Getting message Enter the other person info for xx, which requires me to enter persons name/address. Why rec message?

This is for an investment property.  Instructions state use other if no 1098 received.  Why am I required to complete this?

It's very early to have expected to receive a 1098 for mortgage interest paid.  Is that what you're referring to?

Wait at least until the end of January or early February for your tax document to arrive.  Then you'll be able to enter based on that information.
