@Mike9241: "It costs money to store an app" => Seriously????????? A tiny app in a huge organization where the ratio to the storage of customer and company information is incredibly minute. And they don't need to maintain, update or even support it. Just keep the activation alive, since they decided that they were losing money because people were giving out copies. That seems like a reasonable choice, but the consequence of that is to keep allowing people to activate it into the far future. Just because other companies pull the same c**p, doesn't make it ok.
Will TurboTax disable other user installed versions? Maybe any year they choose? Why do they offer agreement if they don't intend to honor it? I would think TurboTax is big enough and charges enough to properly maintain their licenses.
