Just got Turbotax Deluxe from CostCo like every year, but the feature list on the package shows "Import investment information from participating institutions" now in the "Premier" version column.
The online feature list doesn't mention importing at all:

Before I install Deluxe, can somebody confirm that I will be able to "Import my investment data" as I had last year with Deluxe?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Though still not VERFIFIED by Intuit since last year's posting, this user did install the Deluxe version and the same dropdown for "Importing investment information" was available.
Yes; the desktop software, all versions, will import documents from participating partners. See screenshot below (from Deluxe - Desktop)

It’s now January 2026, and I was wondering if the latest version of Deluxe will import information from financial institutions, since the packaging for Deluxe available at Sam’s Club indicates that it won’t, and that. you need Premier in order to do that. Thanks!
Yes, you can import financial data using the Deluxe desktop product.
In TurboTax Online, you can set up the Auto Import feature to do it automatically for you. You can then transfer this file into a desktop product if you wish. Here's How to Transfer from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop.
@Asnman Can you post a screenshot or picture of the Sam's Deluxe package? If it says that Deluxe can't import investments it might just be recommending you get Premier. It's not required.
OR Sam's might be also selling a license code for the Online version in addition to the Desktop program. Double check that. If you buy the Online version then yes you need Online Premium to enter investments.
You can import interest and dividends into both Deluxe Online and Desktop version.
@VolvoGirl Thanks for your reply. So are you saying that with this download version (which I’m guessing is the Desktop version), I can import dividends and interest, even though it seems like you can’t based on this list of features?
Well it has always been able to import into Deluxe in the past. Haven't heard that they changed it. Someone else with Deluxe will have to check. I have Windows Home & Business. But what does that little #1 footnote say? You should be able to do investment sales in Deluxe, not just int & div.
Check out the Dekstop versions here on Turbo Tax. Scroll down and under Premier it says "Additional Help for Investments" meaning Premier is not Required. I think the box is misleading.
OK I checked Sam's. Here are 2 screen shots from Sam's website.
This one says Premier has EXTRA help for stocks and investments.
This Deluxe says easily import W2s and Investment
Thanks everyone for your replies. It sure is confusing. @VolvoGirl ’s research shows that the description on Sam’s website contradicts Footnote 1, which I forgot to include w/my earlier image (I was trying to keep it small). In my earlier image, Footnote 1 only applies to Premier and Home & Business, NOT Deluxe.
For what it's worth - I just tried importing 4 accounts all from a participating partner using TT Deluxe 2025. It imported 3 of them but the 4th it would not (not even interest, dividends). A window popped up indicating I had to use Premier to import the 4th account. I wish I had taken a screen print but did not. Hence the reason I am here reading this. It is not worth it to me to upgrade and I'll enter it manually.
