You have to recreate the original return in TurboTax before you can create an amendment in TurboTax.  See this detailed answer from Catina.

@meryannr  the easiest way would be to recreate the return in TurboTax  , as it was originally filed.   Thus if you are amending a 2024 return ( prepared using a different  software ), you would have to prepare the return again using 2024  TurboTax, then tell TurboTax that you want to amend the return.  That will  save the original,  allowing you create a modified / amended  return and also the summary 1040-X.
