I didn't think anything of it when I completed my tax forms since, as you said, Obamacare and ACA are somewhat synonymous. My taxes were simple so I filed 1040EZ but I looked at the 1940 form also and both just say "healthcare" on the actual forms. I can't look back into my TurboTax interview questions to be sure but I believe there's a faulty choice on Intuit's part that led them to use "Obamacare" instead of "Affordable Care Act". A good faith error to use the common name but it only adds to the confusion causing people to believe that Obamacare is actual insurance instead of the requirements established by the Affordable Care Act. I agree with you; use the official name or use both names to be sure the question is understood.
