Colorado State refund for 2023, MIA

I did receive a refund from Colorado for 2023.  However, the State reduced the amount from what was originally submitted by TT.  Working on 2024 taxes, the amount stored in TT is incorrect.  I did not receive a 1099G from Colorado this year and it seems impossible to contact the State to see what the actual refund amount I received.  Any ideas?  Thanks, Bob

1. You want to delete the 1099-G the program is holding for you. If you are using:

Online: see How do I view and delete forms in TTO?

Desktop: If you are working in the cd/download TurboTax program:

  1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button.
  2. Click on FORMS.
  3. Locate the form you want to delete.
  4. Click on the form name.
  5. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.

2. CO has multiple ways to contact them.

If you did not itemize then the refund is not counted as income.  So you don't need to worry about this at all if you didn't itemize.

That being said you should be able to look at your bank statements to see the amount that Colorado deposited.

Hi, thank you for your response.  Please let mer explain further. I used TT for 2023, When the State form, CO, was completed it gavve me a refund amount, the State later reduced the actual amount of the refund by several hundred dollars.  TT is showing me the amount filed for 2023, not the actual amount I received.  I cannot enter the correct amount because CO never sent me a 1099G form.  To complicate things further, I have heard that if you did not itemize deductions in 2023 any return received from Colorado is not counted as income for 2024.  Thank you for your help.
