I file a Michigan Resident and City of Detroit Nonresident return. I understand that since I chose to efile my Michigan return, the Detroit return was efiled as well. I had a payment due with my return for both Michigan and Detroit. I chose to have my Michigan payment deducted directly from my checking account but there were no prompts to do the same for Detroit. Will the Detroit payment be deducted from my checking account as well or do I need to mail a physical check?

To review your Detroit payment method, please see How do I review the tax payment or federal refund method I chose after filing with TurboTax Online? Once adding the government and TurboTax worksheets, the detail of your direct debit should be included in the pages of your return.
If you have determined you need to mail your payment after reviewing your return, please send the check and a copy of your Detroit return to:
Michigan Department of Treasury
Lansing, MI 48929
Make your check payable to “State of Michigan - Detroit.” Print the last four digits of your Social Security number and “2023 Detroit Income Tax” on the front of your check.
If you'd like to make an e-payment, please see Detroit Individual Income Tax Taxpayers Can Now Pay Tax Bills Online.
