Check says Hdeduc is marked as estimated but it doesn't show and I can't unmark it.

Have been dealing with this since 2019 on Home & Business and apparently it existed even earlier. COME ON TURBOTAX, AREN'T YOU EMBARRASSED?  Each year I've had to work around it differently. This year it was a showstopper: couldn't efile after paying for it.  Our returns are too long to print... the added expense of over a ream of paper, 9x12 envelopes, toner, the gas and postage and my time.  Seriously TurboTax, I think it's time to switch to one of your competitors.  HEDUC error was on my Medical expense form which I didn't want to redo but after none of the other tricks listed worked, I did.  Printed out the form and supporting data, deleted, walked through the interview to start Medical and recreate the form, then immediately switched to Forms View and retyped only the totals manually into form.  Efile finally worked.

Same here, yes in the Medical Expense Worksheet, line 1. I think the bug is even earlier than 2019!

I was reading another post where the user said if they double click on the area in question the underlying list would be presented where they could make the  needed changes.

To clarify, are you having difficulties with this error in the TurboTax Desktop/Download version?
Or you have successfully resolved it and are letting us know it happened?

TurboTax support wanted me to delete my entire return, reinstall the software, then fill in the return from scratch without importing the last year's data.  Needless to say this was not going to fly.

After 45 minutes on the phone the representative finally agreed to take a screenshots and a bug report, then just as that was about to happen put me hold, and a few minutes later the line dropped.

I have never wanted a company to face real competition, more than for Intuit.  They're too big, too dominant, too politically active for their own benefit, too disconnected from their products and customers.

Now it's 2024 and I'm having the same problem. Seven years later at least. I pay enough for this program every year that I think you can afford to fix the problem, Turbotax people.

Just ran in to this same error with the 2024 version. This thread saved us while filing at midnight. Deleted the form and re-entered the data and it worked. My guess is it has something to do with the import from last year and these fields just get dropped or something.

I don't want to HAVE to do that. It's a lot of work.  They should fix it!!
