Thank you - worked perfectly for me.
Just sent a note to my Chase Client relationship manager to let him know that the Chase site still states Chase Investments and asked thaat he pass along to Chase's technical support site to change the instructions and avoid future confusion
Thanks for posting on the turbotax site!!
I spoke with Chase today (feb 24) and their support person simply said people are having problems with importing from Chase investments No idea when it might get fixed, and not clear it its a Chase problem or a Turbo tax problem
As I wrote in an earlier post, I was able to download my Chase tax forms into TurboTax by selecting J.P. Morgan Securities from the institutions list. I don't recall if that was the exact name, but once you enter J.P. Mo... you'll see your choices. I think it was the bottom one that worked.
Thanks for the info, but I find it interesting that different people seem to have different choices in Turbo Tax. I have Chase Bank and JP Morgan Funds - those are the only 2 choices I have with regard to Chase, and neither one of them works for me. I have Turbo Tax Premier and cannot download my info (maybe Turbo Tax Deluxe has JP Morgan Investments??) . But other years I had to use Chase Investments (not JP Morgan Investments), got a code, and all was good. Just don't understand why all would be ok one year, and the next no-good).
Just curious as to when this will be resolved - by April 15tth???
If this is not resolved soon, I think Turbo should refund all those that could not download the info.
Little confused - if we are not supposed to look under Chase Investments - what should we be using? I only have 2 choices: Chase Bank and JP Morgan Funds.
TutboTax Premier has no such selection by the name of "Case Investments". I am tired of this f'ed up effort form TurboTax. They are working on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????? TurboTax has been working on it for 4 weeks. Do I have the wrong TurboTax version. What the hell is going on. What a titanic waste of time. D+FEED UP!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw an answer made by another chase investments investor who pointed out the J.P. Morgan Securities selection in the import function. I used this earlier today and imported my infor from 4 accounts perfectly. I know that this is different than the instructions on the Chase.com site for turbotax download (which calls for looking for Chase Investments) but J.P. Morgan Securities selection worked for me.
When I first logged into turbotax, I manually selected update software (Its probably not necessary since it automatically looks for new updates when you run it - though you have the option not to install updates if it finds any). I typed Morgan into the search and the J.P. Morgan Securities selection was listed among 4-5 J.P. morgan selections.
It does work - I remember in years past, the selection was Chase Investments - something has changed - and I wish the instructions on the Chase Site for downloading tax forms was more accurate than it is.
IN the selection criteria - type Morgan and among the items that getlisted should be
J.P. Morgan Securities
that worked for me in importing all 1099's for 4 accounts
good luck
Thank you so much -- but I think it is time for me to give up.
I turned off my computer totally, then turned back on, and updated Turbo Tax. Lo & Behold, JP Morgan Securities now showed (thanks for the suggestion). BUT unfortunately after I entered my sign on and PW - I tried clicking on the button that is supposed to bring you to the "code" page, but absolutely nothing happened.
So then I decided to try Chase Bank again- but I had to sign into Turbo Tax, which I did, but would not accept my PW-- so I got a new one - and tried signing in again. Said THEY DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE NEW PW.
I am just so disgusted right now, I can't believe I spent the money to buy the Premier version (which is also a rip-off since up until a few years ago I could buy Deluxe.
I can't imagine I will ever buy Turbo again (and I have been using them for mucho years!). I do thank everyone that has tried to help.
Using Desktop Premier, I was able to successfully connect/import 1099-B investment data using the, "J.P. Morgan Securities" Financial Institution. This covered my investment income section.
HOWEVER...
When attempting to use the Financial Institution named, "Chase Bank" to get regular 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc., TurboTax desktop launches an integration Form to enter Chase username & PW. Each time I've tried, the response from the Chase form is:
Please sign up for updates in regards to importing from Chase Bank here.
I really do hope the "specialists" at Turbo ARE trying to resolve the Chase issue. Not everyone can afford to throw away $70 on a product that will no longer work.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY WHEN I TYPE IN JP MORGAN INVESTMENTS, I CANNOT CLICK ON "GET CODE SECTION"???? I am using the correct sign on/password.
I am not sure this is going to work, since every other year I was expected to click on Chase Investments, (not JP Morgan -- and the Chase site still says to use Chase Investments, which does now show. but according to some users JP Morgan Investments should work -- but not if you cannot access code.
Can you tell I am upset? I really do not feel like waiting til 4/15 to file. Maybe you can give me my $70 back.?
THANK YOU!!

Why am I unable to import from Chase Bank/Investments?
Please disregard any instructions to look for Chase Investments - the instructions on the Chase.com site are incomrrect
The correct institution to download from is
J.P. Morgan Securities
Once you select, you will see a turbotax login screen asking for
J.P Morgan username
identification code
J.P. Morgan password
Below all of the above (in blue) is a request identification code
SELECT THIS LINK first and it will take you to Chase Login screen where you enter your usernaem and password - then you selet how you wish to receive the ID code (text or email)
Once you have the code, you can then fill in the request for using your Chase username, ID code you recieved, Chsse password
I have done this successfully 4 times - I have 4 accounts at Chase investments and went through the process for each account separately.
J.P. Morgan Securities is the correct institution selection now for Chase Investments
