In 2022 I have donated some household goods, clothes, toys, and others to local charities. The total is under $300. Sometimes I forgot to get the receipts for the donation. Is it still possible to report the $300 donation without all the receipts? For 2022, I plan to choose itemize deduction instead of taking the standard deduction.

According to the IRS, it states the following:
A donor can deduct a charitable contribution of $250 or more only if the donor has a written acknowledgment from the charitable organization.
The donor must get the acknowledgement by the earlier of:
The donor is responsible for requesting and obtaining the written acknowledgement from the donee.
So if I claim a donation of $250 or less then a written acknowledge/receipt is not required?
Correct. If you made a donation of LESS than $250 ($249 or less) then no, you do not need a written receipt or acknowledgment.
