I purchased Turbo Tax online. I thought the State form should be free with purchased. But I have been charged 19.99 for the State. Why am I being charged?

Each version of Turbo Tax online has a fee for your state return. The only one that does not have a fee is the free file for the federal as well.
I just e-filed my tax returns. I have a subscription for Turbo Tax Premier. I was charged $24.99 for filing my California return (order # TTDCDLA136264854). I was also charged last year.
Isn't my Turbo Tax supposed to come with a free State return?
If you purchase TurboTax desktop software, it comes with one free state. If you are using TurboTax online, separate state fees apply. If you were using desktop and need a refund for state, you will need to contact TurboTax Support. We cannot issue refunds through this forum.
What is the TurboTax phone number

There is a lot of confusion about this. For the Desktop versions Deluxe and above, it's a free download of one state preparation PROGRAM, not returns filed. You can prepare unlimited federal and unlimited state returns. Some people need to file in more than one state so they have to buy another state program at 39.99. You can print and mail the state for free or each state return (including the first one) is 19.99 until March, then goes to 24.99.
Box says Federal Returns & Federal E-File plus State returns. It does not say state efiling is included. It also says on the back on my CD case in the chart comparing the versions - 1 state product via download (print free or efile for $19.99 each) prices subject to change without notice.
I filed a state tax for Hawaii with my federal taxes. I thought Turbo Tax comes with one state form. I only filed a single state form and now I am being charged for a state submission. What gives?
I guess you didn't read my post above.
You get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is 19.99 to efile, usually goes up to 24.99 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.
