Cd version of turbotax deluxe 2020 will not updateso cannot e-file

I down loaded and installed the manual update for 2020 after repeated update failure.  it looks like it updated but it did not.  when i attempt to e-file it requires and update and it hangs and does nothing.  so I cannot use the software.
