CARES Relief Act III

Hi, I'm a college student. In 2021, I received the CARES Relief ACT III to help me pay for tuition and school materials. The amount I received, however was not reported on my 1098T form and it is not reported in box 5 where scholarships or grants are usually reported. However while doing my taxes, under deductions and credits, it askes me if I recieved a sholarship or grant in 2021 and to include the amount I received that is not already listed on any tax form. So, my question is do I need to report the amount of money I rceived from the CARES Relief ACT III?

No, Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental grants are not taxable, nor do they reduce your Qualified Higher Education Expenses for the purpose of claiming an education credit or deduction.

You not required to enter any information about them on your tax return.
