Capital losses

I noticed my capital losses are not being carried over from 2018 to 2019.  How can I get this data entered ?

It sounds like you have capital losses that should have been carried forward from 2018 to your 2019 return.  But you do not see the amounts anywhere on your 2019 return.

Try the following:

  1. Select the Personal tab and select Personal Income
  2. Scroll down to Investment Income
  3. In this section, you will see a section titled Capital Loss Carryover.
  4. Any carryovers from 2018 should be entered in this section.  If you only see $0 here, be sure to select Start so you can enter the amounts from your 2018 return that should be carried forward to 2019.
  5. The program will prompt you to enter your information.
